ASM Global Changeover Manager in Albany, New York

POSITION: Changeover Manager

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

FLSA STATUS: Salaried Exempt

Summary

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Changeover Manager for ASM Global/MVP Arena. Responsible for managing the changeover staff to ensure the facility is set up for each event. Works with the Operations Managers to assure the daily functions of the Operations Department are properly executed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hires and trains all changeover staff. This would include temporary labor as needed.

  • Write and update employee schedule for changeover personnel.

  • Ensure all policies and procedures are followed by changeover staff.

  • Edit and submit payroll through specified programs.

  • Maintain and distribute materials and tools to operations staff.

  • Double check that all areas worked on by the changeover crew are properly completed.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manages Operations Supervisors as well as all other changeover staff during shifts. Shifts are frequently scheduled overnight.

  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM Global policies and applicable laws.

  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

  • 3-years prior managerial experience required

  • Facility Management experience preferred

    Skills and Abilities

  • The ability to handle a heavy workload in a hectic environment

  • Must maintain full knowledge of all safety procedures and the ability to convey this information

    Computer Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel

  • Experience with payroll systems is preferred

Shift / Hours

Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm – Schedule will vary based on events including evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays

Salary

$58,500 Annually
