Key Responsibility 1: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise up to 8 student technicians in all activities of digitization and reformatting library materials, including materials preparation, image capture, creation and management of archival and derivative files, and quality control; ensure digital conversion of all library materials is accomplished following established standards and guidelines.Key Responsibility 2: Scan, photograph, reformat, and process collection materials, especially those requiring special handling and/or processing, with a focus on book/paper collections.Key Responsibility 3: Manage, track, and report on digital reformatting progress though scheduling student technicians and assigning work based on allocated resources, deadlines, and special requests.Key Responsibility 4: Monitor, evaluate, and improve digital reformatting workflows and documentation in collaboration with supervisors and colleagues in the work unit.Other related duties as assigned.
