Apple is looking for an attorney to join our team and support Apple's payments initiatives—with a primary focus on supporting Apple Cash and related payments products and services. We’re looking for someone with financial services experience who is confident providing guidance on a broad range of product and regulatory matters to cross-functional teams. You must have the ability to thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment and effectively communicate to different audiences, from technical conversations to executive leadership updates.

Key Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of financial services laws and regulations, including those overseen by the CFPB, FinCEN, and state and federal banking regulators

  • Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements and terms and conditions for consumer financial products and services

  • Experience interacting with federal and state financial regulators and examiners

  • Experience providing product counseling for mobile wallets, digital payments systems, alternative payments, or other similar financial products and services

  • Knowledge of the structure and operation of payment network rules

  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional group

  • Practical business judgment and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills

  • High degree of comfort with financial and workplace technology, including project management and collaboration tools and applications

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience

Description

In this role, you’ll support the Wallet, Payments, and Commerce team on a range of initiatives for Apple Cash and related consumer financial products and services. This will include serving as both regulatory product counsel to evaluate and provide strategic guidance on existing products and new initiatives and as commercial counsel to draft and negotiate agreements as necessary to support those products and initiatives. You’ll also help the Wallet, Payments, and Commerce team understand and navigate the regulatory environment that applies to banks, bank service providers, payment networks, money transmitters, and other participants in the consumer finance industry.

Education & Experience

JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.
