Charles Schwab Sr Manager, IT Product Management Senior in Austin, Texas

Duties : Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects; fulfill the product owner role on a dedicated Agile scrum team; define project requirements by developing User Stories and Acceptance Criteria in Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) format using Gherkin language; develop a clear product strategy for the products in the Product Portfolio, ensuring they are positioned correctly in terms of breadth and depth of functionality; prioritize the product backlog to create sprint plans; liaison with internal business and technical stakeholders to bring world class client experiences to life; perform metrics-based data analysis to research issues and discover information to support decision-making; maintain technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights; collaborate with architects and technical community while educating application teams on service integration platform; build strong working relationships with Technology and Business partners to enable cross functional collaboration; develop a strategy to productize and rollout enterprise messaging platform at scale; develop a product roadmap in accordance to that strategy while optimizing developer experience; and capture metadata descriptions for platform components to ensure alignment to strategy technology vision. Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Austin, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $170,800 to $246,800 per year

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Requires 5 years of progressive, post-Bachelor’s related experience, which include some experience in each of the following skills:

Creating data ingestion and enrichment pipelines for data lakes using Hadoop HDFS, MapReduce programming, Apache Sqoop, Apache Hive and Ab Initio Express>It; Developing messaging and stream flows using Apache Kafka and Spark Streaming; Creating and managing Product Roadmaps, strategies, defining requirement features, creating epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog management, and sprint goals using Jira and Rally Software; Design and development of data Integration pipelines between various source & target systems using Ab Initio GDE, Ab Initio Conduct>It, Ab Initio EME, and Informatica ETL software; Programming using Java, Scala, Apache Spark, UNIX/Linux Shell scripting; Data modelling and writing optimized SQL Queries for DB2, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Teradata, MySQL, and Apache Hive databases; and, Creating various business metrics dashboards using database SQL and toolsets provided by Splunk and Tableau.
