Key Accountabilities

Essential Functions

  • Operate rod wrenches, rod/tubing tongs, rod/tubing elevators, hand tools, powered rig tools and other related equipment.
  • Lay down, pick up and stand back Rods and Tubing
  • Assist with assembling and disassembling various tools to be used to RIH
  • Assist in the rigging up/down of the well service unit as directed.
  • Assist in the Installation of Blow Out Preventer and Equipment
  • Assist with repair and maintenance of tools
  • Assist with installing and uninstalling of various Well Servicing Tools to be run in the wellbore
  • Perform all duties in compliance with Customer and Company policies and procedures as well as QHSE applicable regulations.
  • Actively participates in safety meetings to identify and address risks and hazards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge/Skill/Ability

  • Knowledge of Rig Service Tools e.g. Power Tongs, BOP, Wrenches
  • Able to operate Rig Service Tools e.g. Power Tongs, BOP, Wrenches
  • Basic knowledge of Sand line procedure and process
  • Basic knowledge of Rig Service Procedures and Processes e.g. RU/RD, POOH Rods/Tubing, RIH Rod/Tubing
  • Knowledge of and Compliance with DOT rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of company policies, HSE standards and departmental guidelines.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English to the extent that they can understand verbal and written instructions as well as give verbal and written instructions in English

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge/Skill/Ability

  • Ability to use simple mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication) to make job-related calculations.
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The pay for this position in California is $22.00 per hour. Please note that the hourly rate information is a general guideline, and that the hourly rate will vary depending on your location.
