KFDM has an immediate opening for Digital Executive Producer will oversee news content and publishing for the station's websites and all social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of how to maximize audience on social media platforms and is trained in journalistic ethics and standards. The Digital EP will need be highly organized and set the standards for the digital publishing at the stations. As a newsroom leader, the expectation is that the Digital Executive Producer will lead by example.

Some additional responsibilities of our Digital Executive Producer will include

• Oversee daily social media and website publishing of content to ensure we are serving our local communities by sharing relevant information to alert, protect and empower our audiences

• Supervise reporters, anchors and producers in publishing content.

• Take the lead on publishing breaking news and breaking weather.

• Collaborate with News Directors and other station managers to create special content on line.

• Planning and overseeing continuity into upcoming events

What skills do you need to be successful in our role?

• Proven track record of creating compelling and engaging stories across multiple platforms

• Ability to preform well under pressure, experience managing breaking news and meeting strict deadlines

• Excellent news writing skills

• Ability to identity problems and provide solutions

• A strong commitment to journalistic standards and ethics

• Extraordinary people skills with an emphasis on coaching and motivating

• Strong understanding of how to drive digital traffic

• A college degree in Journalism or a related field is preferred

• Strong writing skills and a proven track record for getting results on initiatives
