Surgery Care Affiliates Lead Revenue Analyst Financial Data and Processes in Birmingham, Alabama

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Revenue Integrity, the Lead Revenue Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing project plans to integrate revenue accounting and analysis services for complex acquired entities. This includes leveraging business process analysis, data analysis, and project management experience to understand, and document acquired entities’current systems, processes, policies, and procedures with the goal of creating interim and sustainable long-term solutions to accurately report and analyze patient billable revenue and accounts receivable in accordance with GAAP and SCA Health’s policies, procedures, and controls.

• Develop and implement project plans and process improvements to ensure acquired entities alignment with SCA Health’s revenue & receivables policies, procedures, and controls. • Collaborate with stakeholders and contractors to drive successful completion of defined project deliverables and process improvement initiatives. • Navigate various patient management systems to identify and define parameters for producing reports sufficient to support operational & financial analysis, record patient management system activity in the general ledger, determine contractual discounts, and value accounts receivable in accordance with GAAP and SCA Health’s policies. • Use data retrieval, manipulation, and visualization skills to draw insights from centralized and decentralized data sources. • Work comfortably with large and complex data sets to produce meaningful analysis that communicates a cohesive story for stakeholders. • Drive innovation and scale through defining accounting business requirements for integration of new data sets into enterprise centralized data warehouse and serving as business owner of existing and future revenue focused business processes and applications. • Assess, develop, and document solutions to complex problems by applying acute business knowledge, skills, and experience. • Summarize and communicate proposed solutions with the appropriate audiences in a manner tailored to their understanding, level, or experience. • Leverage process and international teams to drive quality and scalability within Revenue Integrity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a relevant field required. Master’s Degree is preferred.

  • 5+ years of relevant Revenue Analyst, Business Analyst or Data Analyst work experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving experience & understanding of data systems and structures.

  • Demonstrated ability to produce scalable and repeatable analytic processes.

  • Proficiency with SQL, Access, or other data transformation tools.

  • Strong Experience in Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools.

  • Proven ability to work with high level of autonomy to plan and direct large, cross functional projects.

  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments requiring enterprise-wide thinking.

  • Working knowledge of patient management systems and related data, e.g. (HST, Vision, Amkai, AdvantX, SIS Complete, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, AllScripts, EPIC, etc.).

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
