Your application will not be received. / To apply, follow the link belowto the Attorney General’s Office direct application page.* * https://ago-ma.igreentree.com/CSS_External/CSSPage_Welcome.ASP/ / Deputy Chief of Organizational Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Executive Bureau The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) seeks a highly motivated individual to work closely with the Chief of Organizational Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) to provide critical guidance and leadership on matters related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and racial justice. The Deputy Chief will: (1) Provide leadership and innovative ideas that address systemic challenges related to gaps in cultural competency and empathetic allyship; (2) In collaboration with the Chief of Organizational Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, work to support and further a respectful and inclusive work environment for employees within the Attorney General’s Office; and (3) Develop and implement strategies to collect and use DEI analytics, combat implicit bias, and increase cross-cultural communications and engagement. Primary Duties: Duties of the Deputy Chief of Organizational Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion include but are not limited to the following: · Align DEI initiatives and outcomes with the vision of the Attorney General’s Office through strategic planning, careful execution, and communications about the DEI Team’s work; · Develop training and programming opportunities (leveraging internal and external partnerships) to advance best practices through a DEI lens that support inclusion, allyship, retention, diversity talent pipeline-building, and cultural competency in a legal workplace; · Develop and implement comprehensive DEI strategies and action plans that align with our agency’s values and goals; · Collaborate with HR, leadership, and various teams across the AGO to integrate DEI principles into recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and career development processes; · Act as a liaison with external organizations and communities to enhance partnerships and drive meaningful DEI initiatives in our broader community; · Conceptualize and help to manage special projects and work assignments of the Chief of ODEI; · Stay informed about industry best practices, trends, and legal requirements related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, incorporating them into the AGO’s policies and practices._ _Position Type: Full-Time/Exempt Salary: $99,000 - $106,000 _To apply for this position_: *Please visit the Employment and Recruitment Portal of the Attorney General’s Office at: https://ago-ma.igreentree.com/CSS_External/CSSPage_Welcome.ASPand apply directly. *Applications submitted via MassCareers website are not received. Applications submitted via this MassCareers website are not received by our Office. __ Inquiries regarding position & status may be made to: Shealenn Nash, Executive Assistant Executive Bureau (617) 963-2511 Position Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree preferred; · Eight-plus years of experience developing and managing diversity programs preferred, including equity, inclusion, and racial justice; · Program management experience required; · Senior-level leadership skills and prior management experience required; · Experience in creating broad outreach strategies for building inclusive talent pipelines required; · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including oral presentation skills; · Demonstrated organization skills with a strong attention to detail; · Excellent cultural humility skills and training; · Demonstrated ability to facilitate advice and support, effectively and productively, to a broad base of attorneys and staff to develop solutions and manage change; · Demonstrated ability to build both formal and informal professional networks (e.g., ERGs); · Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-past environment; · Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and as part of a team; · A valid driver’s license, as travel across the State is required; · The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a connection to the people and communities we serve, and an interest in supporting a respectful and inclusive work environment.
