As a key member of the clinical informatics team, the National Pharmacy Analyst will provide analytical support using HUB’s pharmacy systems and tools and support national pharmacy operations support to HUB alongside the National Director, Pharmacy Analytics. As part of the primary responsibilities, the National Pharmacy Analyst will lead the efforts in gathering necessary artifacts to support the due diligence process for pharmacy contract reviews, repricing, RFPs, and other related activities to analyze and assess marketing results. The National Pharmacy Analyst will support the ongoing maintenance of pharmacy analytics tools such as HUB’s Infused Analytics platform, EmpoweRx™ and provide field-based operational support related to reporting from HUB’s Plan Insights™ data platform.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Data and Project Management:

  • Pharmacy data collection, validation, organizing, and preparing the data and/or information for analysis deliverables for consumption by various teams throughout the organization, including the national pharmacy practice, national clinical informatics practice, and regional pharmacy and consulting teams.

  • Using multiple internal tools and resources, identify inconsistencies in the data and missing information that impedes the ability to provide a thorough assessment of the pharmacy benefits program.

  • Through the Infused Analytics portal and via interactions with national pharmacy analytics team, initiate RFP bids and manage / monitor timelines and deadlines to meet field-based deliverables.

  • Work proactively in managing projects, workload, initiatives, and assignments as determined by the Clinical Informatics team, and the National Director, Pharmacy Analytics.

  • Contributes directly to support of the design, implementation, and maintenance of standardized pharmacy analytics operations workflows & pharmacy analytics build initiatives.

Collective PBM Contract Support:

  • Working with the National Director of Pharmacy Analytics, support clients in their decisions during negotiations, including assistance with reporting and evaluation of RFP results.

  • Collaborate with the National Director of Pharmacy Analytics to evaluate contract terms and identify any deviations from national contract terms and conditions.

Analytics and Insights:

  • Review advanced analytics to extract meaningful insights from large, complex healthcare data sets.

  • Provide analytical support to clinical and operational teams, translating complex data findings into actionable strategies.

  • Utilize HUB's Fusion data analytics platform to assess pharmacy-related risks and opportunities and work with regional pharmacy practices to articulate findings to clients.

  • Analyze pharmacy claims data, utilization patterns, and trends to identify potential cost drivers and areas for intervention.

Teamwork and Collaboration:

  • Strategically align analytics initiatives with the organization's broader objectives, providing regular updates to the regional HUBs and other stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with departments across the organization to integrate analytics into daily operations and strategic planning.

  • Assist regional teams in identifying trends and patterns in pharmacy claims data to drive proactive interventions and improve client outcomes.

  • Collaborate with regional stakeholders to address clinical pharmacy challenges and implement solutions that enhance program effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Mathematics, or Pharmacy highly desired.

  • Data Science Certification plus 3 years of experience in lieu of degree acceptable.

  • Experience with basic SQL coding required.

  • Power Business Intelligence (BI) experience and/or experience with computer science languages and scripting is preferred.

SKILLS

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft products required.

  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills

  • Strong project management skills, organizational and prioritization skills

  • Ability to work independently with minor to moderate supervision.

  • Other duties as assigned.
