Senior Account Manager

Do you come from a strong background in commercial or large business brokering, and are looking to join a team of risk advisors. Are you looking for an opportunity to relocate for work life balance, or a change in lifestyle? Then our Christchurch team might have that role for you.

The team cover a range of clients from small to medium customers, agri to the large commercial customers, with a strong portfolio of clients to manage you will come in and be able to hit the ground running, building relationships. This role will be based out of our Christchurch branch.

How this opportunity is different

As a Senior Account Manager you will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced brokers across the commercial business. This role offers the opportunity to come in and take ownership of an existing book, while building trusted relationships and new business.

What the mahi will look like

As a Senior Account Manager you will take on a portfolio that is diverse and covers a range of customers. Not only will you provide professional, accurate advice and support to your clients, stakeholders and underwriters, you will also be across new business growth. As a part of a wider team, you will identify areas of improvement and growth and be a sounding board for others.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing proposals for new business opportunities

  • Coordinating client renewals and preparing premium calculations

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    You will be a natural at building lasting, trusted relationships. You will ideally come from a strong background supporting large corporates or commercial risk, and have a strong aptitude to learn with the drive to get the best outcome for our clients.

    What we are looking for in our candidate:

  • Experience in underwriting, claims or insurance account management

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Hold a current L5 Qualification and have proven experience in offering financial advise
