Job Overview The University of Cincinnati, Hoxworth Blood Center is seeking a full-time (100% FTE) HR Coordinator to perform a variety of human resources support responsibilities relating to operational effectiveness and efficiency of Hoxworth Blood Center and College of Medicine (COM) internal processes. The incumbent will ensure the delivery of excellent customer service, emphasizing communication, teamwork and collaboration and seek ways to support and develop standardized processes and common procedures. In partnership with UC Human Resources, our office provides human resources advice and information in support of the Hoxworth Blood Center mission. Our direct services focus on recruitment, onboarding, compensation, employee relations, and leave reporting. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our faculty, staff, and all our activities. Essential Functions Will coordinate HR functions for an operating unit. Work with Talent Acquisition on job postings, recruitment, and selection process. Assist or coordinate payroll processing for organizational unit. May act as Personnel Change Request (PCR) initiator for organizational unit. Analyze various HR data for quality improvement recommendations. Assist with implementing policies to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Assist with project management functions. May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.). Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time. Required Education Bachelor's Degree Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Additional Qualifications Considered Experience with timekeeping and payroll processing. Experience with coordination of leave management is favored. Physical Requirements/Work Environment Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
