Mercy Fitzgerald, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our high-quality, Rehab team!

Must have *Monday-Friday, Day Time availability*

Location at our Eastwick, Outpatient site located:

2821 Island Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19153

Summary:

Performs a variety of secretarial and clerical duties to support the business operations of Eastwick PT therapy services. To recognize and support the Mercy philosophy by demonstrating customer service to patients and families, payers, physicians, staff and all other interpersonal interactions. Dependent on assigned department location, may focus on reception, patient accounts.

  • Completes patient access/intake process effectively and efficiently.

  • Has mastered ability to schedule patients inEpic, links patient accounts to the system for new appointments, completes insurance verification determining eligibility and co-pay. Communicates appropriate information to patients and therapists. Acts as a resource for other staff.

  • Independently completes patient access/intake procedures.

  • Upon arrival of the patient, obtains copies of insurance cards, collects co-pays, has patient sign and verifies all pertinent paperwork, places ID band on patient’s arm.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • Minimum 1 year experience

  • Experience with insurance verifications preferred
