Public Buildings Service Building Manager in District of Columbia, District Of Columbia

Summary As a Building Manager, you will furnish facility support to the 24/7 operation of property through the provision of staff supervision, business management, direction, internal and external communications, and control of construction/renovation of facilities, real property management operations and maintenance, and physical security activities. Location: National Capital Region (NCR), Reagan Building and International Trade Center (RRBITC) Triangle Service Center Washington, DC. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain business and management policies, plans, and objectives. Plan for, manage, and control the delivery of services and activities for Federal client agencies. Oversee and ensure the provision of quality customer service and support to a diverse customer base by the assessment of customers' needs and satisfaction of customers' expectations. Understand Asset Life Cycles, smart buildings and the management of facilities post Energy Saving Performance Contract (ESPC) commissioning. Learn the aspects of the International Trade Center (ITC) and provide program support to the GSA ITC Manager. Apply knowledge of General Services Administration, National Capital Region (GSA/NCR) and Public Buildings Service’s (PBS) mission, programs, plans and policies to ensure client agencies needs and requirements are met. Supervise, direct, manage, and coordinate activities for designated Federal client agencies and the ITC through the planning, direction, and control of real property management operations and maintenance. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience managing groups of large office buildings with tenants and managing buildings operation and maintenance programs; or project management experience overseeing multiple building repair and alteration projects. Experience must include resolving customer issues.
