As a Technical Training Manager, you will beresponsible for improving the safety, quality, and efficiency of company employees through a company-wide technical training program. You will manage and direct the development, coordination, and presentation of technical, procedural, and compliance-related training and enrichment programs for all Operational/Field employees. By continually assessing company-wide developmental needs, you will drive training initiatives to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives. You will also be responsible for procuring and creating effective methods to educate and enhance employees’ performance through a variety of training venues.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of company policies and proceduresin conjunction with Human Resources, Legal, Marketing, Area Safety, Purchasing, and Risk Management to maintain a positive safety culture

• Ensure a safe work environment and regulatory compliance with Federal and State agencies

• Applying fiscal responsibility in managing the safety and technical training activities within the established annual budget.

• Produce a detailed annual schedule for training initiatives, which includes design and development of industry and company specific materials.

• Designs and establishes training metrics to Assesses trainee performance and educational needs, make modifications to programs and delivery methods, assesses results, and drive continuous improvement.

• Participates in industry committees and task forces to assist with the development of standards and safe work practices within but not limited to distillate fuels, propane distribution, and renewable energy.

• Cooperatively manages members of the Safety Department where functions overlap into training tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Engineering, Science, Math, or Communications; or AAS Degree and 10 years relevant experience

• 5 years preparing and presenting training of a technical nature

• PERC (CETP) Certifications; and/or North America Oil Research Alliance (NORA) Bronze, Silver, or Gold Certifications
