POSITION SUMMARY

Since the doors opened in 1972, this factory has grown dramatically into a sustainable state-of-the-art facility. In 2013, we completed our largest solar project yet by installing a 450-kilowatt photovoltaic system of nearly 1,900 panels. The amount of energy produced annually by this solar array could power nearly 52 average-sized homes, or approximately 5,000 lights bulbs for an entire year. With sustainability and safety always top of mind, our Atlanta factory proudly and passionately produces 460,000 tons a year of our dry pet food brands, including Alpo®, Beneful®, Cat Chow®, Dog Chow®, Fit & Trim®, Friskies®, Nestlé Purina ONE® and Pro Plan®. This plant location is just along the southern crescent of Metro Atlanta – an area that nearly 5 million residents and over 340 of our associates can call home. Atlanta is considered the major commercial and financial center of the Southeast and, if this beautiful city were a country, it would be the 28th largest economy in the world.

As a Senior Materials Accounting Coordinator you will plan, organize, integrate, and manage all procurement efforts for energy, indirect services, and miscellaneous supplies for the factory. You will take an active part in reporting on compliance to budget. In this role, you will respond to vendor inquiries and complete vendor set up, performs reconciliations of assigned accounts, and train personnel involved in purchasing. Senior Accounting Coordinators also manage check requests as needed, and they audit compliance to Nestle and factory policies for all other contracts not under their direct management.

  • Create and manage master data within workflow process for the factory. Build new bill of materials, master recipes and production versions with accuracy. Replicate updated data to other digital platforms.

  • Execute the master data functions associated with annual budget process.

  • Review bulk bin ingredients, material discrepancies in SAP and GPMQ, and investigate variances.

  • Maintain relationships with current vendors and suppliers for the services and materials under your responsibility and establish new ones in order to continuously expand and/or improve cost and supplies received by the factory.

  • Investigate aging inventory and SAP reporting errors with pertinent operations personnel.

  • Support gathering and update of financial data used in analysis of cost savings opportunities and/or or continuous improvement projects, as directed by the Financial Accounting Manager.   

  • Monitor and verify coupon usage in SAP.   

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalency

  • 1+ years of material accounting or inventory control experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment.

The approximate pay range for this position is $49,000 to $61,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
