Description

Our client in Connecticut is seeking capable, well-rounded In-house Counsel to serve our company locally, functioning as the sole counsel on site. The ideal candidate would offer expertise in a comprehensive range of legal fields, with an emphasis on contracts.

The Counsel will be primarily responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and drafting our contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contract review, negotiation, and drafting, focusing on Uniform Commercial Codes – article 2- sales.

• Handling tax issues and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

• Preparing sales of goods/commercial contracts including terms and conditions, NDAs, vendor agreements, machine sales agreements, and commercial contracts.

• Addressing personnel injury/safety issues, including product liability/OSHA, and handling customer claims.

• Evaluating and modifying corporate structures/acquisition in coordination with headquarters.

• Managing data security, protection, and intellectual property/software law/data services, if possible.

• Up-to-date with law review or Muto court-experience.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Admitted to the bar in CT.

• 3-7 years of experience in a law firm.

• Willing to understand our business operations and learn different areas of the law, demonstrating strong adaptability.

• Pro-active problem solver, able to find solutions on their own without depending on outside firms.

• Ideally, a graduate of a top law school.
