UMD Automated Systems Account Manager-UMD in Fredericktown, Ohio

Account Manager - UMD Automated Services The purpose of the position is to identify new business opportunities while focusing on existing accounts by developing long-term customer relationships and ensuring all customer needs are addressed in a timely and professional manner. This includes overseeing a project from quote to cash, including all technical aspects.

Duties: ? Responsible for setting sales goals and quotas and meeting them ? Confidently presents UMD to prospective, new, and existing clients ? Seeks out and identify new business opportunities by initiating contact with decision makers to assess their needs ? Create and review budgets, bids, and contracts with applications department and management to deliver technical solutions to customers ? Independently and successfully negotiates and closes business deals ? Work with 3rd party partners and suppliers to provide turnkey solutions ? Communicates customer's expectations throughout all UMD departments as needed to ensure expectations are met ? Manage projects from quote to cash ? Enhance product quality by leveraging automation / equipment experience and by obtaining onsite feedback from the customer ? Capable of traveling on short notice and extensive travel as needed to satisfy customer requirements and meet company sales objectives ? Protect and enhance UMD and customer IP (Intellectual Property) ? Required knowledge, skills and abilities: ? Possess a strong understanding of material handling equipment and automation capabilities ? Extensive knowledge of our industry to combine technical expertise with persuasive marketing skills ? Utilize material handling experience to develop solutions to satisfy customer needs ? Visualize a project from beginning to end ? Implement mechanical knowledge by analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design ? Review and understand components and systems in AutoCAD or equivalent and ability to interpret plan view and section view ? Support as needed to meet project demands ? Be attentive to details and diligent to accuracy ? Self-motivated ? Be professional with all levels of coworkers, customers, and vendors ? Managing one's own time efficiently ? Effective time management to meet project's schedule. This may include working weekends and/or holidays. ? Ability to multi-task while focusing on meeting deadlines ? Work in a fast-paced environment as well as manage changing priorities ? Excellent communication skills both verbal and written  ? Communicate information and ideas in speaking and writing so others will understand and give full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times ? Monitoring/Assessing performance of oneself to make improvements or take corrective action ? Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one ? Identify complex problems and understand implications of new or related information to develop, evaluate, and implement solutions ? Distinguish when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and evaluate quality or performance ? Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments ?
