Veralto Vice President Product Management in Grand Rapids, Michigan

The Vice President Product Management will lead, manage, and inspire a global team of product management professionals globally. You will be accountable to deliver product solutions, new product development initiatives, and continued support of legacy products. In this role, you will establish and maintain industry familiarity and relationships to gain an understanding of sales and marketing opportunities.

A hybrid role, you will work at least 2 days per week from our development center in Grand Rapids, Michigan with remote work the rest of the time. You will occasionally travel globally.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Lead a global team of product management experts who are responsible for the complete product lifecycle

  • Collaborate with relevant teams to evaluate and prioritize M&A opportunities based on strategic alignment and organizational objectives.

  • Develop and articulate a future vision of products via a product roadmap based in extensive market, customer, and competitive research and analysis.

  • Provide in-depth market, industry and competitive analysis and product positioning.

  • Design strategies, solutions, and proposals to ensure the sustained growth of X-Rite through product and commercial initiatives.

  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure marketing strategies, lead generation strategies, and sales strategies enable the desired growth for both new and existing products.

  • Develop pricing, revenue and gross margin forecasts based on market sizing and customer value. Perform regular product-line reviews and problem solving to identify and correct gaps to plan.

  • Continuously improve metrics including achievement of new product revenue, on-time delivery of new products, platform reuse, business unit growth, product gross margin and quality.

  • Define and continuously improve common design standards across the portfolio to enhance usability, ease of deployment, serviceability and brand awareness for our customers and our internal teams.

  • Coordinate with the Global Service team to develop support services to increase customer satisfaction within the market.

  • Utilize the Veralto Enterprise System including the Fundamentals, Product Planning Group (PPG), and the Innovation Engine to drive sustainable growth.

  • Own and lead the strategic planning process for X-Rite, while collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and refine strategic initiatives and objectives.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in product management in comparable B2B / growth-oriented industries with at least 3 years in a senior management position.

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering; MBA preferred.

  • Experience across the entire product continuum, from NPD to obsolesce.

  • Experience with revenue models featuring equipment, digital applications, physical services, and remote services. SaaS experience a plus.

  • Ability to conduct fact-based research and analysis of market, competitor, and customer data, and utilize the data to drive short- and long-term tactics and strategy

  • Preferred experience working in a lean / kaizen culture, with a track record of utilizing these tools in a commercial setting.

  • Extensive experience defining, launching, and growing successful products, digital/software product management is a plus.
