JOB TITLE: Technical Professional

REPORTS TO: BED Head

JOB LOCATION: Gurgaon, India

POSITION SUMMARY: Candidate will be responsible for the execution of BED work for Ammonia/Syngas technology Units in association with KBR’s Technology Business Unit at Houston.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

1. Shall be working in a team of process engineers in Basic Engineering Design (BED) work for Ammonia & Syngas Technology Units.

2. Willingness to learn and lead other Syngas Technology projects.

3. Shall have relevant experience in front-end process design, use of simulation & optimization tools like PRO-II and Aspen Plus, Heat & Material Balance, development of PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing and preparation of datasheets, process control criteria, unit hydraulics, exposure to HTRI/HTFS software, preparation of instrument data sheets etc.

4. Shares work with foreign office. Assists Hazop/Hazan and Startup/commissioning teams.

5. Maintains a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all governmental regulations and corporate safety guidelines. Ensures that all personnel assigned to the operations receive appropriate safety training and adhere to all safety standards.

   MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

6. Candidates should be first class graduate chemical engineers.

7. 10-12 years of experience in Ammonia/Syngas

8. Startup/Commissioning experience is desirable.

9. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

   KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

   Manages key business relationships with clients and with Technology Business Unit

   Managerial teams in India and Houston.

   SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

   Travels 5-10% of time
