What you’ll do:

This position is part of Product engineering team responsible for delivering EE hardware responsibilities in Transmission Control Unit development. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for working with their engineering manager and cross functional teams to deliver on project requirements. Incumbent will work closely with engineers located in various locations in the U.S, Europe ,Brazil and Asia and will have functional reporting to the Global engineering leaders.

  • Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) has an opening for an Associate Engineer – Electronics Hardware Design in TCU. This position will be based in Pune, India.

  • The individual will be responsible for reviewing and finalizing Book of requirements , maintaining and updating Hardware software interface document

  • Perform simulations and testing to support on failures observed during Design and product validation

  • Should be able to work on digital Communication protocols like CAN, RS232, SPI, I2C etc. analog & digital circuit design with 16/32 /64 bit microcontrollers based designs, development, launch support.

  • Collaborate with mechanical, layout, and firmware engineers to successfully develop and validate the designs up to and including certification and product launch. Utilizes the support of model-based development processes, automated testing, verification & validation tools.

  • Ability to Analyze and predict design performance using Simulation tools, Analytical Skills etc. Should adopt 8D approach for failure analysis. prior experience of commercial vehicle product development process at system and subsystem levels is preferred.

Qualifications:

B-Tech/BE

0-2 Years

Education : Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics with industry experience of over 0-2 years

Skills:

  • Testing -Low power functional testing , Design and engineering verification testing

  • Simulations -LT spice , Pspice

  • Basic electronics, electrical datasheet oriented understanding of embedded components, op-amps, AC-DC circuits,D rating , tolerance analysis , solenoids, solenoid drivers, sensors, communication protocol CAN , I2C, RS232 , filters

  • Good communication and presentation skills - both verbal and written are necessary with an ability to make necessary status reports, technical presentations to Eaton management and global stakeholders.

  • Learning Agility – Quick to learn, agility to understand different engineering disciplines. Drive consensus and enable decision making

  • Efficient – Uses appropriate tools, analytics and model-based designs based on situation; Understands risks and possesses ability to derive actions

  • Drive for results – can be counted on to exceed goals successfully.
