System Engineering for Moon-to-Mars Milestone Reviews (supporting NASA/JSC in Houston)Job SummaryThis position is to perform system engineering integration for the Moon-to-Mars (M2M) Artemis lunar missions. Tasks include development of planning and leading execution ofmilestone reviews, , coordinating team engagement in reviews, and performing system integration with management and other key stakeholders in both planning and execution. The person will work at Johnson Space Center with a large team of System Engineering and Integration (SE&I) personnel in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop plans and products for how to conduct lunar exploration milestone reviews, including success criteria, adjudication, board responsibilities, NPR tailoring, etc.

  • Develop and execute processes for NASA life cycle reviews, reviews include MCR, PDR, CDR, FRR etc.

  • Develop milestone review execution plans for lunar exploration milestone reviews that include agenda coordination with M2M management, personnel training, schedule, product reviews, comment management, dashboard development and maintenance

  • Integrate multiple Program and cross-program stakeholders through flight readiness and life cycle review processes, including future planning integration of Certification of Flight Readiness (CoFR) processes

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A BS degree in engineering or equivalent technical degree with a minimum of 10 years applicable experience and at least 2 years performing milestone review integration

Experience with NASA and/or commercial partner milestone reviews (e.g. Preliminary Design Review),

Experience with milestone review entrance and success criteria

Experience in developing system engineering products and associated integration

DESIRED:

Experience in developing NASA or NASA-related system documentation

SKILLS/TRAINING REQUIRED:

Self-motivated and proactive in integrating/communicating with others without a lot of hands-on direction. Ability to lead specific tasks when needed.

Ability to work within a team environment, where the team is distributed across multiple NASA centers

Ability to perform cross-program integration with multiple people for various purposes in parallel, identifying and resolving integration concerns

Well-developed skills in both written and verbal communication, and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
