Facilities Warehouse Technician - Kohler Hospitality

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Responsible for the overall management and organization of Destination Kohler’s warehouse. Responsibilities include prioritizing warehouse for unloading, loading, checking, staging, and storing items from properties. Also responsible for picking up and delivering items from properties. Operate a variety of powered or manual material handling equipment, inventory control systems, and other related equipment such as: scales, calculators, bar code readers, palletizers, shrink wrappers, etc. Move and ship products as directed and perform all functions in accordance with specified guidelines and instructions, while exercising safety for oneself and others.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Maintain the work area, practice, and follow all required safety regulations.

  • Receive phone calls/emails from customers, carriers, or truck drivers. Investigate and call back with findings.

  • Meet schedules, time frames and project deadlines.

  • Manage multiple tasks to obtain timely results.

  • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and handle more than one task at a time

  • Explore ways to streamline or make the job more effective.

  • Perform re-packing of all damaged carton products in accordance with the non-conforming carton standards provided.

  • Confirm all picked shipments and replenishments.

  • Perform all inventory transactions necessary.

  • Assist co-workers as required.

  • Perform minor maintenance and report abnormalities.

  • Take initiative to address all process and equipment malfunctions and problems.

  • Perform all duties as assigned by supervision.

  • Cooperate, collaborate, and effectively utilize cross-functional resources.

  • Organize racking by property and/or like in kind materials

  • Maintain open aisleways for PIVs to travel down

  • Maintain inventory audits and actively implement changes

  • Provide warehouse information to business managers. Receive feedback from customers and collaborate to achieve goals.

Hours will be 8am-4:30pm

Skills/Requirements

  • Two-year associate degree or a high school diploma with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in warehousing and shipping procedures and methods.

  • Knowledge of Kohler Co. product offering is helpful.

  • Strong organization, collaborative, and communication skills

  • Works well independently and is flexible

  • PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicle) Training.

  • Learn and be able to: Use electronic data entry equipment at a basic level and have or learn basic computer skills.

The hourly range for this position is $21/Hr. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
