Major Responsibilities: 1. Assesses, diagnoses, develops, and implements nutrition plans with supervising medical staff in order to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care. a. Uses assessment skills and appropriate risk assessment tools to identify patients with actual or potential health care needs that would require care coordination, therapy, primary care needs, or other referrals. b. Explores patient\'s understanding and knowledge of current health status and administers medical nutrition therapy in a tangible and accessible way. c. Performs high quality, cost effective, ongoing medical nutrition therapy in consultation with supervising medical staff to promote optimal health. 2.
