In Europe, Middle East and Africa, Turner currently broadcasts 70 channels in 20 languages to 125 countries. It is headquartered in London and operates local offices across the region. Turner’s EMEA portfolio of kids, entertainment, sports and news brands includes Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Cartoonito, Boing, adult swim, Toonami, Warner TV, TCM and TNT, CNN, Great Big Story, Bleacher Report and e-league, as well as our new venture Toonix, in partnership with HBO Nordic.
This role will provide support to the Acquisitions team at Turner, who are responsible for buying programming for Turner’s portfolio of kids channels across EMEA.
The role is to assist the department in tasks including but not limited to: tracking and filing all third-party pitches, reviewing and sharing content internally, liaising with external distributors, raising Purchase Orders and other such financial documents for internal use and assisting with content delivery.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for you to get insight into the day to day operations of an acquisitions team. The acquisitions team spend their time meeting creators, taking their pitches and reviewing content. You’ll get to see content at every stage and follow the process from the beginning to end. You’ll also get exposure to lots of different teams internally and will be working with passionate people who love content and love our brands!
The Acquisitions team focuses on our content, so the ideal candidate will have a keen interest in the TV industry and TV programmesYou will be extremely organised with excellent communication skills and attention to detailAnalytical skills would be a benefit for this role and experience using excel would be a plusThe ideal candidate will be studying towards or have completed a business-related degree; however, we will consider other degrees
