About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for Sales Manager MICE to join us at The Carlton Tower Jumeirah. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • To effectively manage existing MICE Agencies, for both hotels.

  • Undertake sales trips within territory and attend tradeshows as required and determined by annual sales trip and tradeshow planner, upholding corporate travel policy and in line with travel budgets.

  • To undertake 10 client site inspection/visits/a week liaising with the Events Team & London Global Sales Office.

  • To participate in scheduled sales blitzes & lead closing weeks to maximise opportunities for both London Hotels with the goal to achieve the pre-set targets within such weeks.

  • To utilise Delphi and Cvent system in accordance with Jumeirah standards, procedure, and best practice.

  • To utilise CRM system in accordance with Jumeirah standards, procedure and best practice.

  • Attend weekly Business on the Books review meeting with the events team and undertake proactive responsibility to follow up on leads and assist in conversion within the designated time period.

  • To participate in the weekly 1:1 with DOS providing feedback on activities & action plans.

  • Working with the events team to set-up a communication to proactively follow up with clients who have used facilities in the past, including clients who have cancelled, to generate bookings.

  • To actively use the market intelligence/competitive data supplied from the third parties to secure future business for the hotel on a timely basis.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Degree or similar level qualification desirable.

  • Minimum 2 years in upscale or luxury hospitality field.

  • Proven track record of success in revenue generation.

  • Word-processing skills, preferably with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint - Essential

  • Experience with Opera/Delphi/Cvent/Salesforce/Lanyon/ – desirable.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
