As a National Account Manager for FGX, your primary responsibility will be to drive growth and maximize profitability within our existing customer base in the UK, while also acquiring new business within our core channels. You will play a vital role in fostering relationships, implementing strategies, and ensuring the success of our business partnerships

About the role

The National Account Manager will work in collaboration with internal and external customers to provide guidance, direction, and support in the development of merchandise, initial item inventory levels and forecasts, and ladder plans. The role of National Account Manager exists to manage sales growth in a defined portfolio of existing Key and National Accounts (80%) and to develop New Business (20%).

Key role accountabilities:

· Develop, implement, and sell-in merchandising programs; including product assortments, pricing, Development and management of customer accounts focused to deliver budgeted sales & profit growth objectives.

· Key focus on targeting and winning new business.

· Full customer profit responsibility.

· Negotiation of multi-year customer contracts, ensuring profitable business forecasting by following the company financial planning process.

· Selling new ranges across Sunglasses and Reading Glasses on a seasonal basis.

· Development and implementation/management of Customer Account/Business Plans to deliver budgeted growth objectives.

· Focus on customer Sales-Out to develop ideas plans to optimise sales and efficiencies and take corrective action where necessary.

· Close Management of customer inventories and working with Customer Service team to ensure adequate replenishment and/or merchandising calls are made.

· Weekly update of POS and Sales Forecast.

· Involvement in annual/quarterly reporting and budgeting process.

Technical skills required:

· Strong selling performance history, negotiation, product, and analytical skills.

· Entrepreneurial spirit with examples of key new business wins

· Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills.

· Demonstrated professionalism and the ability to interact with Executive level staff.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate message to all levels of management within both internal and external customer management organizations.

· Strong Computer Skills, including Microsoft Office

Your profile:

· Minimum 8 years sales experience, with management of grocery, pharmacy and mass market customers.

· Experience in a FMCG, mass market products, with evidence of working with EPOS/Sales-out data.

· Proven track record of successfully listing items that have led to a significant return on investment and profitable growth.

· Able to demonstrate personal motivation and drive to deliver results.

· Retail math literacy and application of concepts to daily operations.

· Ability to prioritise effectively with flexibility to react to short-term requests.
