Established prominent law firm in the heart of downtown Los Angeles is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 6+ years of commercial litigation experience to join their growing team. This role involves handling a diverse range of cases, including construction, real estate, and business litigation. The successful candidate will manage cases from start to finish, including drafting motions and briefs, taking and defending depositions, making court appearances, and preparing for and attending trials.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse range of cases from start to finish in the construction, real estate, and business litigation fields

• Draft motions and briefs with precision and accuracy

• Conduct depositions, defending and opposing as required

• Represent the firm in court appearances

• Prepare thoroughly for trial and attend trial proceedings

• Maintain stability and continuity throughout the litigation process

• Utilize legal software for efficient case management and documentation

• Handle complex commercial litigation matters

• Resolve client complaints and inquiries in a professional manner

• Utilize strong writing skills for effective communication and presentation of cases.

Requirements

• Proficiency in legal software for case management and research

• Demonstrated experience in briefing and preparing legal documents

• Proven track record in civil litigation and complaint handling

• Minimum of 5 years of experience civil and commercial litigation

• Strong skills in documentation and record-keeping

• Expertise as a litigation attorney, particularly in complex commercial litigation

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and integrity

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• Active member of the California state bar association

• Ability to manage multiple cases and projects concurrently

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
