Paramount Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A, Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles, California

We are looking to add a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to our team!

The position will support the ongoing oversight and management of the lifetime profitability estimates for our Feature Films (Ultimates).

Overview and Responsibilities:

Maintain the 10year ultimates for Paramount feature films

o Maintain financial models to forecast revenues and costs on a film-by-film basis

o Coordinate with Distribution Groups and handle submission process of estimates into our Ultimates Hyperion System

o Manage preparation and presentation of film slate profitability reporting to senior management

o Prepare summaries of ultimate estimates for outside reporting obligations for review by senior management

Analyze anticipated film performance comparing actuals against forecast

Support financial planning activities for Paramount Pictures, including coordination with Business Units to prepare annual Budget, periodic updates, long range plan, and various ad-hoc analyses

Provide support to other areas of the team including Greenlight & Deal Analysis, P&L and Cash Forecasting

Find opportunities for continuous process improvement

Complete what-if analysis and ad hoc analysis as needed

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (focus in Accounting or Finance preferred)

4+ years of professional experience in Finance, Accounting or related field

Additional Qualifications:

Strong financial modeling Excel capabilities and understanding of financial statements

Proficient in Excel & Powerpoint

Working knowledge of Hyperion and Essbase preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work with various professionals at all levels

Good organizational and time management skills

Great teammate with a demonstrated ability to operate in a cross-functional team environment

Entertainment or media industry experience strongly preferred

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $70,000.00 - 85,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
