Amazon Sr. Account Manager - Expansion, Trade Compliance in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

Sellers are a critical part of Amazon’s ecosystem to deliver on our vision of offering the Earth’s largest selection and lowest prices. These Sellers offer hundreds of millions of unique products providing a broad and diverse inventory of products from Books, Electronics and Apparel to Consumables and beyond. In our vision to build a global marketplace, we will enable Sellers to list, make their selection available to customers globally while optimizing their inventory placement across multiple countries.

Post Brexit, there were a number of changes to the way Amazon and its inventory operated across the new UK-EU customs border. To enable seamless movement of inventory for sellers across this new customs border (hence preserving selection for customers), the Amazon Customs Clearance and Shipping Services was created in 2021. This program will enable thousands of sellers move over 75 million units of inventory with minimal effort by 2025. The Sr. Program Manager - Expansion role leads program initiatives to scale our Cross Border Shipment Services through: (a) launching new use-cases and shipment arcs in EU, (b) expanding to new geographies such as US2EU and (c) eliminating all manual operations from the current set up

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive business expansion with new arcs in EU28, new use-cases such as first mile shipping/pallets and increasing the product scope to cover new geographies such as US.

  • Partner with stakeholders from business, product, tax and legal teams to translate cross-border compliance & transportation requirements into a communication roadmap to drive proactive awareness for Sellers. Responsibilities also include product development, launch strategy, tracking, attribution and establishing appropriate success metrics

  • Work closely with central Product and other Program teams within EU Compliance, to offer a seamless experience for our Sellers

  • Work with Sales/AM teams to drive adoption and increase share for the program on Amazon through programs, education, shared goals and other mechanisms

  • Manage multiple 3P stakeholders to prioritize and balance efforts while ensuring we optimize for maximum business impact

  • Participating in cross-functional projects in collaboration with business teams in Europe

  • Create/Organize all material into a searchable/accessible wire-frame with a flexibility to expand the same for new programs

Key job responsibilities

In this central role, you will have end-to-end strategic ownership via multiple projects to drive initiatives that drive higher inventory movement cross-border (driving both new seller adoption and increasing usage for existing sellers). You will be responsible for creating processes, mechanisms and materials that are scalable and replicable with minimum effort. You will responsible for creating new programs/products, product entitlement, yearly forecast and driving adoption targets for cross regional sales team.

Basic Qualifications

  • Masters/Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or relevant field of study

  • 8+ years of business development/sales/program management experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional and international environment, to lead by influence and earn trust at all levels

  • Strong bias for action, highly organized and ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with limited guidance and tight deadlines

  • Strong analytical skills to work with data and make data/metric driven decisions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA from a leading business school

  • Working Knowledge of SQL, Tableau and VBA or willingness to learn

  • Analytical tendencies with a natural curiosity to measure, test, learn and iterate

  • General knowledge of VAT requirements in Europe
