Robert Half Financial Business Analyst in Menlo Park, California

Description

We are in search of a Financial Business Analyst to join our team in the non-profit sector located in Menlo Park, California. This role will focus on supporting the core financial accounting areas, such as financial accounting, inter-company, funds, and Accounts Receivable. This position is a contract role that will require the successful candidate to work PST hours remotely with no exceptions.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a Workday subject matter expert and clearly communicate technical concepts in business terms.

• Support ERP upgrade initiatives that include user expectations, project goals, work effort, accountability, and deliverables.

• Collect user requirements, develop critical reports within above work streams, and provide guidance to users on functionalities.

• Participate in the ongoing review of system configuration and design options in support of the mentioned work streams.

• Implement, administer, and support reporting in relation to the financial business analyst role.

• Independently address issues and design decisions and deliver clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues related to applications, interfaces, and workflows across the organization.

• Act as a liaison between business teams, application vendors, and IT for system integration, enhancements, and issue fixes.

• Be responsible for translating complex business needs and making recommendations.

• Support inter company, non-patient A/R, and endowments/gift work streams of the health system's business and financial applications.

• Manage business and financial operations within a healthcare environment.

Requirements

• Must possess at least 10 years of experience in a Financial Business Analyst role

• Demonstrated ability to create dashboards and specialized reports

• Proficiency in using Workday Financial Management software

• Ability to create and manage custom reports

• Must have a strong understanding of financial and accounting principles

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field is required, advanced degree is preferred
