NBC Universal Sr. Financial Analyst in Miami, Florida

The Sr. Financial Analyst reports to the Finance Manager and is responsible for financial reporting and support of Unscripted Realities and Specials with the understanding of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with NBC Standards and Practices. This position is also responsible for carrying out the Company Operating Plan and assuring production budgets are met. Responsibilities include:

 

  • Conduct monthly accounting closing activities for assigned properties.

  • Book monthly amortization and production accruals for Unscripted properties.

  • Generate weekly and/or biweekly forecasts for production department.  

  • Identify risks & opportunities and provide solutions to potential overage issues with budgets.

  • Conduct financial analysis of production budgets and prepare thorough presentations to highlight any issues or areas of concerns providing sound financial recommendations to upper management.

  • Prepare monthly consolidated Unscripted pacing report for Programming Finance.

  • Review, approve and ensure payments are performed timely according to contractual obligations.

  • Maintain production timeline schedule to ensure financial deliverables are met.

  • Ad Hoc Analysis as needed with collaboration of the Content Finance team.

  • Involvement in IT systems projects & implementation.

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of experience within Finance/Accounting field

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experienced in using financial / accounting software and applications.

  • Must be willing to facilitate personnel requirements including late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production environment.

  • Must be available to work (whenever necessary for show production) early mornings, evenings, holidays, weekends, and during natural disaster emergencies.

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week
