POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title:Temporary Lending Administrative Assistant

Department:Lending

Classification:Non-Exempt

Salary Range:$20-$25 an hour depending on experience

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Position reports to:Loan Servicing and Real Estate Lending Manager

Positions Supervised:None

POSITION PURPOSE

This temporary on-site position is responsible for completing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Loan Servicing and Real Estate Lending Departments. The Lending Assistant is responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. This role will be temporary and last approximately 90 days

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide administrative support to Loan Servicing and Real Estate Departments.

  2. Prepare and send mortgage recordings to title companies.

  3. Contact third parties to request required documents such as AVMs (Automated Valuation Model), LERETA Tax Service Contracts, and Insurance policies.

  4. Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.

  5. Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.

  6. Electronic recording and satisfaction of mortgages.

  7. Maintain inventory and ordering of office supplies on a monthly basis.

  8. Daily mail collection and disbursement to appropriate parties.

  9. Perform responsibilities of position in accordance with federal and state regulations as well as credit union policies and procedures.

  10. Recommend changes to improve workflow, efficiencies and quality.

  11. Meet Core Comp Requirements.

  12. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education/Certification:

Some college preferred or a comparable combination of education and experience. .

Required Knowledge:. This position requires that the employee gain a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and how they will affect their work. The employee will comply with all requirements of the BSA and cooperate with the designated BSA Officer in assuring compliance.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize a steady stream of incoming tasks.

  • Must project a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.

  • Must be team oriented.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate recommendations to management in a concise and informative fashion.

  • Bilingual a plus.
