We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Accounts Payable Help Desk within our Accounting group based in Midland, Texas.

Key Job Responsibilities:  First line of contact for Vendors through phone or email.  Provide excellent customer service, by supporting, training,

and communicating effectively with customers.  Duties include working in SAP/Ariba to research invoice submissions, payment inquiries,

and review, add & update customer data. Subject matter expert on vendor submissions.  Interact regularly with immediate counterparts

as well as other Accounts Payable departments throughout the organization including Oxy Requestors, Supply Chain, and Financial Analysts

providing support as needed.   

 

Job Responsibilities:

·       Support Internal and External Customers with all AP related issues from submission to payment

o    Train Suppliers on proper invoicing requirements and submission methods as well as problem solve with them

o    Collaborate with Supply Chain on Purchase Orders, Contract/Price Books, mergers, and setting up new suppliers

o    Assist Oxy Representatives on their tasks to resolve any issues including Purchase Order Details

o    Interact daily with various functions of AP on invoice issues, payment, or vendor setups

·       Maintain familiarity with System updates, policies, training, and procedures.

·       Recommend and evaluate improvements and streamlining opportunities in areas of responsibility with vendors, Oxy Reps,

and other functions within AP

·       Manage AP Help Desk email box to meet all customer needs timely

·       Create & maintain Helpdesk call tickets timely

·       Perform Quality Assurance reviews

·       Lead Team meetings

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

·       At least 1 year of experience in Oxy Accounts Payable, preferably more

·       Strong Verbal Presentation Skills

·       Strong Written and verbal communication skills

·       Strong Customer Service skills

·       Strong Analytical/Problem-Solving skills

·       Work independently with little supervision (Self Driven)

·       Work well in a team environment

·       Disciplined Time Management skills

·       Excellent organizational skills to meet team deadlines which affect our customers

·       Ability to perform in a fast paced, high volume environment

·       Proficient in data entry

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)

·       Positive attitude

·       Adapts well to change

·       Confidentiality

Relocation  will not be provided.
