What to Expect:

As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for driving sales to veterinary channels and deliver associated customer contribution to Nestle Purina PetCare Canada.

A day in the life:

  • Externally, communicates with Veterinarian Professionals, Vet Clinic Managers, Large Clinic Group Customers to build relationships and growing Purina revenue with-in the Veterinarian Channel

  • Leverage Category Insights, Shopper Marketing, Vet Communication Managers resources to develop and implement channel category and consumer centric strategies.

  • Lead the joint business planning process with the National Large Clinic and Regional Groups

  • Develop and implement trade promotion strategies and tactical plans with the customer.

  • Responsible for Trade Spend and maximizing Customer Contribution within the Region by managing a budget

  • Identify profitable opportunities to grow incremental volume through new item listings , SKU optimization and distribution.

Role Requirements

  • 4+ years of progressive sales experience managing a territory and or Trade Marketing within the veterinary industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree education in Business Administration, with a focus on Sales, Marketing, or related field is an asset

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills and experience working with other sales tracking software program.

  • Effective communication, negotiation and strong leadership skills are required to express analytics and deliver presentations to various levels within the organization and externally to customers.

Preferred Skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent time and project management while paying attention to detail.

  • Motivation as a self-starter with the ability to think “out of the box” in an effort to secure incremental business opportunities.
