Philips Working Student Intellectual Property (m/w/d) in Munich, Germany

In this role you will have the opportunity to,

work with inventors, doctors and engineers who are driving innovative measurements of physiological parameters for critically ill patients. These methods are used in emergency medicine, in the operating room and in intensive care. You are directly involved in the research and development of advanced monitoring systems and support the development of new methods up to the patent application stage, as well as other activities related to intellectual property protection in collaboration with patent attorneys.

Your Tasks

  • Preparation of documentation/searches for new patent applications related to hardware and software for physiological parameters, in particular for hemodynamic measurements

  • Construction of prototypes and test setups

  • Support in feasibility tests (bench tests and tests on volunteers) Statistical analysis of test results Writing descriptions and visualizations (sketches) of technical solutions in English for internal documentation and the patent attorneys

Your Profile

  • Current studies in an electrotechnical, physical or (bio-)medical technology

  • High level of familiarity with technical/physical concepts

  • Very good written and spoken Germen & English skills

  • You are available as soon as possible and for at least one year and can do some of your work on site

  • Knowledge of medical context, work experience in Operating Room and/or Intensive Care Unit, especially with patient monitors methods is an advantage

  • Knowledge of medical context, physiological monitoring methods and experience in intellectual property and patent generation is an advantage
