Duties: The State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz welcomes applications for the role of Athletics Business Coordinator in the department of Athletics, Wellness, & Recreation. This position will be responsible for assisting the Associate Director of Athletics, Wellness, & Recreation/Business Manager with all aspects of the department’s business operations. As a member of the Department of Athletics, Wellness, & Recreation this individual must abide by all NCAA, State University of New York Athletic Conference and University. This role will assist the Associate Director/Business Manager with all areas of business management for the Department of Athletics, Wellness, & Recreation. Duties of this role include but are not limited to:
• Serve as the department’s point person for procurement activities• Serve as the point person with Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and Travel Office• Assist with the operations of Half Court, Athletics’ concession stand• Serve as the point person for travel activities, scheduling transportation , lodging, & etc• Assist with budget development and management of assigned accounts
Qualifications: Required:• Bachelor's degree• Experience with Microsoft Office suite• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment• Excellent oral and written communication skills• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Preferred:• Master’s degree• Accounting experience
