This could be the job for you. Can you match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks? A dynamic organization with a growing team is looking for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. The permanent opening for an Account Payable Clerk is located in the New York, New York area.

What you get to do every day

• Complete full-cycle A/P

• Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

• Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies

• Provide support to internal business partners

• Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

• Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

• Carry out additional projects as required

• Facilitate internal and external audits as needed

• Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

Requirements - Command of GAAP Accounting

• Accrued Expenses experience desired

• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

• Strong time management and organizational skills

• 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
