We are currently in search of a talented and driven Climate Transition Risk Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in environmental science, finance, or a closely related field, coupled with a commitment to addressing the challenges posed by climate change within the context of businesses and financial markets. The successful candidate will play a key role within our organization, contributing to the development of innovative solutions at the intersection of sustainability and finance, and leveraging their expertise in data analysis and modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with team members to develop and refine transition risk datasets and models, with a focus on carbon emissions modeling.
  • Integrate transition risk metrics into financial risk models, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Clean, wrangle, and analyze datasets.
  • Communicate findings effectively through compelling data visualizations, reports, and presentations.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, methodologies, and regulatory developments in sustainable finance and climate risk management.
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in quantitative analysis and statistical modeling,
  • 2+ years of experience with tools such as R, Python, or SQL.
  • 2+ years of experience in data cleaning, wrangling, and visualization.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • General understanding of sustainable finance principles and practices.
  • Background in Finance, Sustainability, Science, Energy, or another related field.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in environmental science, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling techniques, particularly in the context of credit risk and ratings.
  • Experience conducting scenario analysis and assessing climate-related scenarios and models.

New York Base Salary Range

The expected base salary for this role if located in New York City is between 70,000 - 113,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
