JPMorgan Chase NA Fixed Income Financing Trading - Vice President in New York, New York

The Global Fixed Income Financing business sits within Macro Trading and interfaces with a broad range of clients including hedge funds, asset managers, and REITs. It is a large, critical business providing liquidity and financing across all fixed income products, including US Treasuries, Mortgages, Credit, Emerging Markets, and Securitized Products.

Job Summary:

As a Vice President on the Fixed Income Finance Desk, you will price, execute, and risk manage financing transactions across securitized products with limited direction from senior staff. You will be responsible for idea contribution, operating in both short term interest rate markets and financing markets, using a variety of products and trading strategies to risk manage activity. You will work closely with functional partners internally, engage our broad set of clients on market themes and partner closely with the sales team to further the priorities of the business and service our diverse client base. Working with the business unit control functions, the trader will also facilitate risk reporting and governance procedures including preparing approval memorandums and risk reports.

Job responsibilities:

  • Market making in Securitized Products Repo markets.

  • Develop and implement trading strategies to achieve revenue goals.

  • Manage trading risk and hedging strategies utilizing USD short term interest rate products.

  • Maintain strict compliance with federal regulations, industry standards, and legal requirements.

  • Work closely with sales to facilitate client trading strategies and collaborate on initiatives with internal control partners, including risk, legal, compliance and business control teams.

  • Direct engagement with clients, to build business and discuss market themes through meetings, calls, dinners and events.

  • Writing trader commentaries on market events and trading themes.

  • Streamline desk processes and contribute to trading technology developments.

  • Manage balance sheet and RWA/Capital to pre-defined limits.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering or related quantitative field.

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a Securitized Products role. This may include trading, financing, structuring, or sales.

  • Detailed understanding of Securitized Products and the Repo market.

  • Comprehensive understanding of trading and risk management strategies.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, and proactive attitude to problem solving.

  • Ability to work as part of a close team with a strong focus on counterparty relationship management.

  • FINRA Series 7, SIE and Series 63 security licenses.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple time sensitive processes in a pressured environment.
