Who we are looking for: We are currently looking for a Product Manager to be based out of Philadelphia, PA. The Product Manager is responsible for understanding the customer's current and future requirements and the competitive environment. Additionally, the Product Manager will be responsible for setting pricing, working with Operations and Finance to ensure BOM and Routing accuracy of both existing and new products. What you'll do: Additional Responsibilities include: Capturing and disseminating Voice of the Customer (VOC)

Analyzing product position in market relative to price, profitability, market share, verticals, and geographies

Expert with respect to the competition and product category

Ongoing profiling and reporting of competitive strength and weakness and game theory of competitive response

Maintaining and sharing relevant market intelligence

Developing and implementing the Business Unit Product Line Strategy, Competitive Markets and Competitors; distilling market, conducting competitive and environmental analysis and defining the short and long run category strategy to limit risks and expand opportunities

Managing product life cycle and developing plans for all phases

Maintaining and reporting out on action plans, KPI's and countermeasures

Managing the new product development and VA/VE process from ideation through commercialization using the stage gate process

Assisting customers with VA/VE opportunities and special components

Ensuring BOM, Routing, Pricing and Costing accuracy as we prepare for next phase of JDE ERP implementation

Monitoring vertical activities to identify opportunities for existing and future product revenue growth

Working with legal to protect Atkore IP and monitor competitor IP submissions/expiry of existing patents

Identifying and participating in M&A target discussions, to support the Atkore GET2X growth objectives; and simplifying the customer journey, working with marketing to leverage digital tools that improve the selection, specification and procurement of Atkore products

Position requires only little domestic travel and occasional international travel as is normal for the occupation What you'll bring: Must have at least a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering or closely related field

Must have at least 3 years (36 months) of experience with all the following: (a) product management (b) structuring project plans and methods to drive process and product improvements; (c) driving benchmarking efforts to define market position and expanding product margin; (d) defining portfolio strategy and managing entire product lifecycle - legacy, growth, and NPI; (e) setting pricing strategy for products; (f) leading VOC efforts defining new products for penetrating emerging markets and industries; and (g) utilizing all the following tools/technologies: Lean methodology tools and CRM systems. All experience may be gained concurrently
