Job Specifications

As a Finance Business Analyst, you will support and assist the business within the Company’s Accounting Systems (AS) Department. The AS Department is responsible for implementation, maintenance, and development of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and supporting financial departments. You will serve as a liaison between the business users and IT teams to analyze business requests and provide functional support for systems supported.

SALARY RANGE: Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.

•Level I: $27.38 - $41.08

•Level II:$62,150 - $93,300

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Manager of Financial Systems

LOCATION:Rapid City, SD

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Possess a general understanding of financial systems as assigned. Act as a subject matter expert to the finance and business organization.

• Provide production support for financial system applications.

• Provide testing support and consultation for assigned projects.

• Identify process efficiencies, recommend innovative use of software functionality, communicate design, implement solutions and train end-users.

• Participate in release planning, production validation, and other project related activities as needed.

• Facilitate work sessions with business units to develop functional business requirements for complex projects.

• Translate business/functional requirements into technical specifications for the IT organization.

• Facilitate business process redesign sessions and create documentation, as needed for new methodology.

• Measure customer satisfaction at the end of projects by capturing customer feedback using appropriate techniques to gain, maintain, and improve long-term relationships.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Level I

• Minimum of 1 (one) year of experience in business analysis, IT development, accounting, finance, or equivalent experience required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Level II

• Minimum of (3) three years of experience in a business analysis, IT development, accounting, finance, or equivalent experience required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Demonstrated business analyst skills, including requirements definition, documentation, system testing, and user training.

• Adaptability to changing business environment required and act as change agent to finance and business organization.

• Must be skilled at creating functional & technical requirements.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite required.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• SQL / Query writing knowledge helpful.
