Robert Half HR Coordinator in Saint Helena, California

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruitment and hiring processes, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.

  • Coordinate new employee onboarding, including preparing orientation materials, conducting orientation sessions, and facilitating training programs.

  • Manage employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with legal requirements.

  • Assist with benefits administration, enrollment, and inquiries, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.

  • Support employee relations activities, including addressing employee inquiries, grievances, and performance management processes.

  • Process payroll, timekeeping, and attendance records accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Assist with HR compliance tasks, such as maintaining employee handbooks, policies, and procedures, and ensuring adherence to labor laws and regulations.

  • Coordinate HR events, meetings, and training sessions, including scheduling, logistics, and materials preparation.

  • Collaborate with HR team members and departments to support HR initiatives, projects, and special programs.

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive HR information and communications.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an HR Coordinator, HR Assistant, or similar role, with a strong understanding of HR processes and practices.

  • Knowledge of HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Familiarity with HR laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, managers, and external partners.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, record-keeping, and documentation.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

  • Experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, or employee relations is desirable.
