Wold Architects and Engineers, a dynamic, growth-oriented architectural and engineering firm with headquarters in downtown St. Paul, seeks a highly motivated, professional, and dependable Senior Accountant to become a part of our finance team. Candidates must be detail oriented, team players, well organized, and possess a positive attitude. As a member of the finance team you will contribute to the accuracy of our financials, budgets and overall company goals. This position is ideal for someone looking to start their career in Accounting/Business and be a part of a company that positively impacts communities through building design. Duties/Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and other financial reports for management. Assist in training and guidance to accounting team on day-to-day transactional items. Assist in the analysis of monthly financial statements. Assist in month-end close processes. Assist in fixed asset entries and reconciliation. Provide monthly actual vs budget analysis to management. Review designated General Ledger accounts and activity. Process and review accounts payables and receivables. Investigate reporting discrepancies and communicate issues. Prepare and record monthly journal entries and related account and bank reconciliations. Post and reconcile general ledger accounts Assist in ad hoc accounting or finance projects and analysis, as assigned. Assist with internal and external audit requests. Allocate expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures. WIP reporting: ensure proper cutoff of posting to projects for invoicing & cost allocation. Performs other duties as assigned.
