Robert Half Fund Accountant in San Francisco, California

Description

Jeff Abrams with Robert Half is working with an amazing company looking for a Fund Accountant. If you are looking to grow your career as a Fund Accountant this could be the role for you.

Responsibilities Include.

• Conduct thorough cash analysis at the investment vehicle level

• Implement and oversee the workflow for approving payables and expenditures through NEXUS (AP system), Paymode-X/Kyriba (payment processing), and MRI (GL system).

• Be responsive to both internal and external inquiries.

• Perform monthly consolidation and reconciliation of investment accounts across various Funds, Joint Ventures, Co-Investments, and/or separate accounts.

• Record month-end journal entries and facilitate the closing process efficiently.

• Ensure accuracy in balance sheet reconciliation, including cash, accounts payable, Prepaids, accounts receivable, etc., while maintaining the general ledger and updating supporting schedules and workbooks.

• Manage draw and paydown requests for investment vehicles’ subline.

• Supervise third-party accounting groups in tasks such as bank reconciliation and general ledger maintenance.

• Take the lead in the quarter-end close process, including the preparation of financial statements and footnotes adhering to NCREIF and GAAP reporting standards.

• Prepare comprehensive quarterly investor reporting packages.

• Maintain REIT records, including support for quarterly REIT testing, consent forms, and distribution management.

• Handle partner capital accounts within Juniper Square (investor portal).

• Annually prepare financial packages for auditors and provide support throughout the interim and year-end audit process.

• Prepare financial packages for tax accountants and review partnership tax returns meticulously.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting coupled with 2-4 years of accounting experience, with a preference for backgrounds in real estate, private equity, or financial services.

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential.

• Preferred experience includes familiarity with MRI and Juniper Square platforms.

• Demonstrated understanding of partnership/fund accounting concepts is advantageous.
