Emerson Senior Financial Analyst in St. Louis, Missouri

If you are a Finance professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Working on a partially remote team out of our St. Louis headquarters, you will be a key member of the Finance Department supporting executive management, including the CFO and COO. In this role you will be part of a team that develops reports, presentations, and performs analysis of key financial metrics. This is a high exposure role within a fast-paced multinational company.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Develop, manage, and support financial reporting, presentation and analysis for quarterly and yearly forecast and planning cycles, including but not limited to:

  • Quarterly review of current year forecast updates for each business (Presidents Council)

  • Yearly update of next year forecasting for each business (Financial Review)

  • Monthly business update (Global Operations Overview)

  • Serve as Finance owner for Emerson’s annual Profit Planning data collection and reporting. This includes owning the Profit Review model, supporting the Corporate Operations team with reporting and financial expertise, and working with our Business Units to guide the process and technical team to drive operational improvement

  • Partner with Business Unit, World Area, and corporate leadership to support and facilitate the reporting and review of worldwide financial plans and analysis of financial projections used for Senior Management decisions

  • Collaborate with other functional teams, including Accounting, Operations, Strategic Planning and HR

  • Find opportunities for automation and operational improvement

  • Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects as required under tight deadlines

  • Develop new financial models to better understand financial performance

Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; a quantitative degree such as Math or Engineering coupled with financial concepts experience will be considered

  • Minimum of 3 years of finance, accounting, or equivalent experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel & PowerPoint)

  • Self-starter comfortable working independently with limited direction

  • Attention to detail and ability to balance multiple priorities

  • Process improvement and problem-solver mentality

  • Ability to work optimally in teams and interact with all levels of the organization

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Master’s degree preferred (MBA or Master’s of Accounting)

  • CPA or other certification a plus

  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) a plus

  • Experience with BI analytical tools (i.e. Power BI) a plus

  • Experience working in a complex, matrixed organizational structure
