DAPER is seeking an Assistant Coach, Women’s Gymnastics to assist the Head Coach of the Gymnastics program of a Division I athletics program. Responsibilities include coaching for the Women’s Gymnastics team, as well as assisting with administration of recruiting, training, practice, facilities, budget management, and team travel. This is a one year fixed-term position.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Help plan and organize team training and practice sessions.

  • Assist with daily instruction of team members across the events.

  • Assist with recruiting student-athletes to compete at Stanford. Follow NCAA guidelines and University standards and policies in coordinating recruiting efforts.

  • Assist with equipment, apparel and facilities for Women’s Gymnastics program practices and competitions.

  • Understand and apply NCAA regulations to all aspects of program. Must pass exam on an annual basis on NCAA regulations.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or designee.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of coaching experience.

• Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with student-athletes, peers, and the general public.

• Computer literacy with common office applications such as Word, Excel and Google Docs.

• Ability to understand and comply with all rules and regulations of the Stanford University, ACC Conference and NCAA.

• Ability to work compatibly and cooperatively with a variety of staff and personnel in the Department of Athletics, the University, and the community.

DAPER’s Integrity:

This position, along with all DAPER coaches and staff, is responsible for the integrity of Stanford’s intercollegiate athletics program and for the reputation of Stanford University. This position is responsible for ensuring that his/her/their involvement with Athletics Department activities maintains the integrity of the University’s reputation and does not negatively impact the relationship between the University and its faculty, staff, students and alumni. Additionally, this position must comply with University policies and procedures, NCAA and ACC rules and regulations.

The expected pay range for this position is $66,560 – 70,000 per annum.
