The Role

The role of the Strategic Talent Acquisition Leader for Japan is to help deliver high quality and high-speed hiring outcomes across Kyndryl Japan’s Early careers and professional recruitment needs. The TA Leader will achieve this:

  • By working collaboratively with geographically dispersed teams across Europe, US and Australasia to create and implement TA strategy, Reporting, Analytics, and Compliance.

  • By working closely with Japan business leaders and workforce solutions teams to understand hiring needs and crafting an appropriate an agile recruiting strategy.

  • By partnering with RPO team on delivery and execution of strategy. Visiting SLAs and KPIs and other data points to ensure strong RPO performance and effective delivery to the business.

  • By actions as first level escalation for RPO and business on various items.

  • By looking into recruiting life cycle data and hiring metrics to identify problem areas on a daily basis and taking necessary actions with RPO teams, hiring managers, leaders and TA teams to elevate it.

  • By running cadence calls for each business line on a weekly basis and doing line item reviews of open roles. Thus, identifying gaps around RPO delivery or business support and helping action, escalate or elevate the issues.

  • By working closely with RPO on any process related challenges. Effectively communicating the challenges to Japan Strategic Talent Acquisition Leader to help improve processes for RPO, business and TA.

  • By reviewing current hiring best practices during business cadence calls and making suggestions for improvements to process, tools and platforms. By reviewing and keeping checks on performance of recruiting agencies.

  • By supporting Hiring Managers make faster decisions by regular enablement and coaching on hiring best practices, market trends and competition.

  • By working with business, vendors, procurement teams on various regular recruiting items such as agency use approvals, securing job board credits, any hiring approvals etc.

  • By attending relevant HR meetings and business meetings to provide recruiting updates.

  • Work on ID&E initiatives. Continuously work to make Kyndryl a diverse workplace by creating strong ID&E strategies.

  • By working with Kyndryl global teams as necessary for any process related changes or communication with support from Japan STAL

  • By supporting stakeholders of special critical projects such as Consulting and new graduate/intern hiring for accelerated hiring needs by leveraging RPO capabilities and executing appropriate recruiting and reporting strategies in partnership with Japan STAL.

  • Bu providing regular status updates to LT be able to collaborate and work effectively to support Japan business.

  • By working collaboratively with geographically spread out and diverse teams across Europe, US and Australasia to create and implement TA strategy, Reporting, Analytics, and Compliance.

The role requires advanced Japanese and English-speaking skills.

Who You Are

To be successful in this role, you would have:

  • Experience in technology / IT/ Digital recruiting for a minimum of 10 years.

  • Experience in a managerial or leadership role in an in-house talent acquisition environment for a minimum of 3 years.

  • Strong understanding of data driven recruitment.

  • Appreciate and understanding of EVP, Marketing and talent branding

  • Strong focus on KPIs, SLAs and databased decision making

  • Strong leadership skills - coaching, mentoring, motivating and adaptability.

  • Empathetic approach, good listening skills, collaboration and self-driven

  • Ability to work in the office 2-3 days per week (Roppongi Hills)

  • Experience managing an RPO and physically dispersed delivery teams will be an added advantage

  • Fluent Japanese and English speaking skills
