Description The Medical Biller will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of medical claims related to mental health services. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in medical billing, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to supporting our mission of providing quality mental health care to our community.

Responsibilities:

Verify referrals and pre-authorizations for mental health services.

Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies using billing software.

Enter billing data accurately into the organization's accounting system.

Update billing records with invoice numbers and payment details.

Monitor claim status and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.

Assist in resolving billing inquiries and disputes in a timely manner.

Collaborate with team members to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in medical billing, preferably in a mental health or healthcare setting.

Knowledge of medical billing procedures, insurance regulations, and reimbursement practices.

Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health records systems.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
