NBC Universal Application Support Manager in Universal City, California

The Application Support Manager is an integral member of the Security Quality team, responsible for enabling security operations by maintaining and optimizing the vital technologies that NBCUniversal’s Global Security team relies upon to safeguard the company’s people, assets, and reputation.

This role will report to the Director of Physical Security Programs, Technology & Risk, and work closely with partners across Global Security to understand operational needs, plan and implement system improvements, and maintain vital technology systems utilized across the global enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative technical management of Global Security technologies, with an emphasis on support for the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system

  • Training and supporting Global Security staff in use of technology systems for the purposes of data collection, risk assessment and business intelligence analytics

  • Create awareness and assist in performing system maintenance and support change management for users

  • Assist in establishing, standardizing, and leading other GSO technology programs as needed across all areas within NBCUniversal and Universal Parks & Resorts

  • Lead projects aimed at continuously improving security technology programs and tool sets to streamline security operations and maximize operational effectiveness

  • Regularly interact with users and build strong relationships that will enable the creation of novel solutions and strategies

  • Provide a high level of support, tailoring solutions for unique use sites and businesses across the enterprise

  • Prepare and package data for use in various reporting products and presentations as requested

  • Assist with program management for the Workplace Violence Prevention Program and tailor solutions as required in the Security Information and Event Management tool.

  • Responsible for SIEM design, technical data gathering, support, and technical quality assurance.

  • Contribute to the successful development, planning, and implementation of GSO's information systems programs, projects, and initiatives

  • Leverage the capabilities of the incident management system to align with access control policies, risk management, and compliance

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Systems, Computer Science, or similar

  • 2+ years experience managing an enterprise level technology for a large enterprise

  • 2+ years’ experience in managing projects with major deliverables

  • Ability to articulate technical concepts and solutions to both a deeply technical and non-technical audience

  • Demonstrated abilities to train individuals and groups on technology systems and feature updates

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with varying audiences

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook

Desired Characteristics:

  • 2+ years’ experience in physical security environment

  • Experience in incident management systems and data collection process

  • Ability to lead and present program information in face-to-face presentations to varied audiences, including executives

  • Strong ability to manage vendor relationships and assets on projects as required

  • Experience working in an Agile project management environment

  • Able to build and present effective, concise, and professional PowerPoint presentations

  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and communicate effectively with all stakeholders

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.

Salary range: $85,000 - $105,000 (bonus eligible)
