Job Summary:

The Finance Analyst will be a member of the Finance Team, based in Warsaw (remote/hybrid), responsible for a number of EMEA countries. The role will be dedicated to a prestigious client from IT sector within the facilities management line of business. The main responsibilities will be to act as a contract controller during month end and invoicing as well as to provide effective client reporting and financial guidance to the wider team. The Finance Analyst will be working closely with the EMEA Finance Lead, client finance team and other stakeholders located across EMEA.

Responsibility:

  • Responsibility for month end close for the countries in scope,

  • Preparing adjusting journal entries (reclasses, accruals etc.),

  • Following up on any discrepancies and resolving issues in line with Master Service Agreement,

  • Ensuring the contract margins are in line with expectations and reflect reality,

  • Reporting and commenting on any unusual variances as needed.

  • Managing the invoicing process for the countries in scope,

  • Preparing invoice backups as per the contractual requirements,

  • Submitting invoices to the client and resolving any queries regarding invoices.

  • Following up on overdue debt.

  • Supporting the business during client month end and providing variance commentary,

  • Ensuring accuracy of the client forecast,

  • Resolving any client finance related issues.

  • Preparing monthly reconciliations of the accounts,

  • Resolving any other ad hoc requests relating to activities in scope.

Requirements:

  • University degree in finance area (Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar preferred),

  • Fluent English, both oral and written is a must,

  • Finance and accounting experience required (at least 1-2 years),

  • Advanced Excel data manipulation skills.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), emotional intelligence, ability to seek consensus,

  • Analytical, planning & problem-solving skills, ability to think of reasons & causes as well as all the factors that might affect the situation,

  • Ability to remain focused in changing environment, multitask, prioritise and work to key deadlines.

Nice to have:

  • Some knowledge of iScala/SAP/Peoplesoft ERPs would be an advantage,

  • CIMA/ACCA in progress would be an advantage but is not crucial.
